Cell was a runaway Founder who later adopted Omni abilities, formerly known as Daniel. He was a Starfleet officer under pretense until his self-ousting in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History

In 1879, he exited the pool of the Great Link to mimic survivor Daniel of a crashed El Aurian scout ship. When the survivor was killed by Female Changeling Anna, he took on Daniel's name and likeness. When Guinan came searching, Daniel joined her and her colony in escape. He then joined an El Aurian colony on Vulcan.

In 1983, Daniel refused a request by Anna to return and, fearing Guinan's safety, searched for her on Earth. In the 22nd century, he joined Starfleet Academy under a Vulcan hybrid pretense. Section 31 became aware of Daniel and supported him in the background without his knowledge.

In 2234, Ensign Daniel was part of a Flortarios III ground force against an enemy that severely injured Captain Laumar Gotens. Waiting in a cave for evacuation, Anna revealed herself and asked again to his refusal. On witnessing Laumar's death on Trill, Daniel resigned from Starfleet, befriended Rikonen Gotens and lived on Trill until returning sometime prior to 2240. ("The Links' Traitor", "Spider Agencies, Part II")

In 2327, Daniel was at Starbase Earheart where he provoked some Nausicaans a week after Jean Luc Picard. ("In a Window, Darkly") Some years later, Daniel was on a mission to one of Qo'noS' moons where Menchez saved Daniel's life in an attack. ("Betrayal and Honour") In 2364, Daniel was in command of the USS Kyushu. ("Remnants")

USS Phoenix

In 2369, Daniel took an on-again/off-again role as commander of the USS Phoenix. In 2373, he took full command and was momentarily liquified by Avery. When the Klingon Empire accused Menchez of political manipulations, Daniel advocated for his honor and, as thanks, Menchez collaborated on an exchange officer program and donated the IKS Bochnah's cloaking device to the Phoenix. ("Betrayal and Honour", "The Links' Traitor")

In 2374, during a Dominion engagement in the Tiloniam system, Anna tried to request his return again. After the destruction of the star system and near-totalling of the Phoenix, Daniel was demoted from Admiral to Captain at Deep Space 9 and given command of the USS Phoenix-X. ("The Tiloniam System", "The Link's Traitor")

USS Phoenix-X

In 2374, as part of the new command, Night Gotens and Ensign Dan were transferred to the Phoenix-X, the latter of whom tested Daniel's patience regularly. ("The Tiloniam System") In his first run, Daniel helped defeat a Borg backup cube, knocked Deep Space 9 into the Bajoran wormhole and, while advocating risk, was denied rescuing USS Voyager by Q. ("Capital Shakedown")

Later, after a sting on Flortarios III to weed out Damon Smith selling Federation weapons to the Dominion, Daniel, Gotens and BOB became momentarily captured before escaping on their own. ("Flortarios III") After a failed attempt at smoothing relations with the Cardassians, Daniel was kidnapped by Meloneus and not returned as part of a prisoner exchange agreement. Instead, he escaped with Gotens and captured the Tarak. ("Missed the Mishap")

When Ragon and Kotah knocked out the crew with drugged cookies, in an attempt to deliver the Phoenix-X to the last remaining Maquis cell in the Phengroth system, Daniel took back the ship and revived the crew for a shared fight against a fleet of the cell's Drai Hunter drone ships. ("Cookies")

With the hijacked Phoenix-X vector-split and crashed on Cretacia in the Gamma Quadrant, Professor Gast attempted to kidnap Daniel as one of his collectables but was instead defeated by him. ("Crash Bandits") On their way home, a malfunctioning Phoenix-X became trapped in an anomalous cloud with the crew-captured Dominion attack ship Lyngon-945. Unable to reconcile their predicament and Daniel's existence, the Jem'Hadar prisoners ended themselves in front of him. ("The Cloud Aloft")

After Benjamin Sisko admitted to hearing rumors about Daniel, he funneled orders for Daniel to command Task Force Epsilon in protection of Flortarios III. While at Deep Space 9, Odo asked Daniel to link but instead Daniel invited him to a patrol mission on Flortarios III where they tracked and captured Dominion Founder Cora. Realizing his own feelings for Kira Nerys, Odo decided to retract his link request with a now disappointed Daniel. ("Homespun")

Daniel recruited Ensign Dan to take notes during the introductory meeting between all Task Force Epsilon Captains and their Commanders on Flortarios III but struggled with Ensign Dan reflecting non-professional behaviour until the Ensign saved a highly Bajoran Trove effected Gotens in front of everyone. When a Dominion fleet invaded the Flortarios system, immediately after, Daniel was momentarily kidnapped again by Gul Meloneus on the Lyngon-2752. Escaping, he and Ensign Dan used the ship to transmit a virus to the rest of the fleet. ("The Bajoran Trove")

In 2375, Daniel and his crew defended the Earth against the specist Trozonian generational warship Gelomira, where Captain Dowi recognized his species from the Gamma Quadrant and beamed Daniel over to question him. ("Bio Level 4")

Later, Daniel encountered his and his crew's mirror duplicates when unintentionally activating an iso-star. Catching onto duplicate Daniel's homicidal intentions, both Phoenix-X's eventually stood off against each other until the mirror Phoenix-X was seemingly destroyed. ("Pure Evil")

When the IKS Bochnah rendezvoused with the Phoenix-X, Daniel reconnected with Menchez who returned to ask Daniel for his help in uncovering a Duras family conspiracy against Red and the Federation. ("Betrayal and Honor")

Daniel quickly recognized the Hyperion-047 when they were lured into a rendezvous and ordered it destroyed. Feeling emotionally distraught, Daniel recounted his history to Kugo between Daniel and the Hyperion-047's Founder Anna who, after the story, revealed herself to have transported over. In addition, Dominion troops unshrouded, revealed the damaged USS Enterprise-E, and attempted to take over the Phoenix-X with orders to not adhere to Anna or Daniel's commands as they waited for a Dominion fleet to destroy them.

Experiencing an alternate timeline where they planned a way to escape the Enterprise-E into a Phoenix-X transwarp conduit, Daniel met with Guinan after centuries who warned against the transwarp plan and accepted Daniel as the new Daniel. Anna sabotaged the multi-ship transwarp and the Enterprise-E was destroyed, prompting Q to send Daniel back in time to the 1800s to change history and not leave the Great Link.

In defiance, Daniel did everything exactly the same, eventually forgetting that he'd already lived this history, up until Daniel's recounting to Kugo. At this point, Wesley Crusher interfered and convinced Daniel to make up with Anna. With her help, the invading soldiers were stopped, both ships were able to escape the incoming Dominion fleet and Daniel forgot he ever rekindled with Guinan. ("The Link's Traitor")

Later, Daniel managed the short-lived slipstream torpedo experiment and defeated Plutark from the Konsugon and Meloneus from the Isotope when they stole it. ("Warfare")

When the Phoenix-X upgraded its shields to escape a Cartagan ion storm, Captain Tweed of the Hannibal delivered a jar of contained Changeling from the IKS Hou-Ling to Daniel. Opening it revealed Shane, despite being raised by Klingons, not wanting to go back and who Daniel tried to protect from a returning, over-protective Captain Sergio. During a confrontation, the Traveling Link showed themselves and confirmed protectable dangers therein before revealing Sergio as the actual Changeling they were looking for. When Sergio agreed to rejoin the Traveling Link, Daniel allowed Shane to live and work on the Phoenix-X. ("Lost Aquarius")

With the Phoenix-X entered into a race by the Milkyway Subspace Racing Association, Daniel was forced to learn not to depend so much on his crew in order to win. At the ceremony, he recieved a latinum medal. ("Subspace Racing")

Later, under the guise of redemption, Theseus assigned Daniel a covert mission into Breen Confederacy territory to Corollas VI to seemingly retrieve a Trill multi-spatial shield but, in reality, save the Xen symbiont. To put an end to Xen's aggressive controls over the Breen, Daniel allowed the Breen to take it prisoner in exchange for safe exit. ("Guinea Pigs")

After the Dominion War, he rescued survivors of the Dominion attack ship Hinxen-728 in the Dubhe sector and attempted to embody the role of their gods, along with Shane, to the point of driving the rescued Jem'Hadar to uprise against him. After seeing the error in his ways, he dropped the survivors off on the planet Rokunda. ("Factors of Xenology")

In 2376, Daniel and his crew were taken prisoner by the Borg as leverage by the Borg Queen for Shane to cooperate and relink with the partially assimilated Shoon. After relinking and being fully assimilated, Daniel linked himself to them in an effort to have a Borg stop signal transmitted while simultaneously and successfully rejecting assimilation between all three Changelings. ("The Return of the Borg")

After a welcoming ceremony for the Gordarions at Starbase 55, Daniel joined Avery in an inspection tour of the Phoenix-X that eventually led to Avery mothballing it. As a result, everyone was reassigned, except for Daniel and Shane who were taken prisoner by Doctor Steve who ran experiments in taking control of Changeling protoplasm. After two months, the two were rescued by Gotens and Aeris and Daniel joined them to Bolian Outpost 3 where Cid took the blame for giving Avery his power. Daniel, Shane and Aeris were then taken prisoner by a Gordarion starship, back to a Gordarion space city, where the crews of the USS Manila and Xena were being held for experimentation and information gathering. Gotens retrieved the Phoenix-X to confront the Gordarions but was met with King Gordan and an Avery using Steve's control device to body-control Daniel and Shane to fight back. After a battle, Gotens disabled Avery's device, freed Daniel and Shane, as well as rescued Theseus, Aeris and Kayl, and escaped an exploding city aboard the Phoenix-X. A week later, the Phoenix-X was reinstated with a reception at Starbase 55 and Daniel back in command. ("Experimentalism")

Later, after attempting to load isatonic crystal onto the Phoenix-X while transporting Helenion refugees and fighting Tree species starships, on Christmas eve, Daniel was seemingly visited by Santa Claus and gifted a new bucket. Upon reaching the Helenion homeworld and learning of their economic struggles, Daniel donated all the isatonic crystal to support their energy needs. ("Christmas Special")

After lecturing the crew on their behavior, Daniel had a recently acquired omni sphere unwittingly opened in Sickbay. Upon open, the prisoner X, who had previously defied the Q Continuum, was released. Unwilling to go back on Q's orders, X sacrificed himself by giving all his omnipotent power to Daniel. ("The X Continuum")

Right after, Daniel was called upon by the artificial Q-like entity Sonan to fight in the vacuum of space as a distraction for Klokian to steal the omni sphere from Sickbay and take it back to Ancient Greece to get fixed. Upon return, Klokian trapped Daniel in the sphere and escaped with Sonan with intentions on converting Daniel into material to create more artificial Q-like entities.

Placing the sphere into an extraction device in the 39th century, on the Klokian homeworld and, as Daniel was feeling his life slip away, he next found himself in the white void with Q. There, Q reiterated the power Daniel really had, prompting Daniel to elevate his abilities and escape from the sphere. Now free, Daniel defeated Sonan and, despite his powers having no effect on Klokian, escaped with Gotens on the Klon to find a temporal distortion forming near the Phoenix-X, a byproduct of Klokian smallcraft attacks. While jumping around to several time periods, Daniel was able to subdue the distortion enough for the Phoenix-X, with the help of Xena, to fire into it to suppress it. Almost immediately, all the Klokian ships and planet disappeared.

Daniel and the Phoenix-X returned to the 24th century with the timeship Klon. ("Fight Bringers")

When Kugo requested shore leave to take care of personal matters related to her past life as an assassin, Daniel taking it personally was short lived before her later return. ("Identity")

In 2377, after more Q had changed their name to X, one of them approached Daniel during Armond's wedding ceremony and drained almost all of the X power from Daniel to initiate X Time. Daniel was effectively turned into an Omni, a being with partial omnipotent power, with X's intention for Daniel that he learn and grow the power himself to one day help create and join the X Continuum. This wasn't restricted to just Daniel, as many more mortals throughout the galaxy were simultaneously turned Omni as well by other Xs, for the same purpose. After the invading Boosti took over the Phoenix-X and merged with most of the crew, Daniel meditated enough to use his limited power to separate and save everyone. ("Vengeance")

Later, Daniel used the Phoenix-X's transwarp capabilities to assist the starship Voyager return home from the Delta Quadrant. Unfortunately, the consequences proved discomforting for the crew, as the Phoenix-X's secret of harboring an advanced engine was revealed. The resulting revelation led to a chain of events that saw the destruction of Starfleet Command. Daniel then decided to reset the timeline by going back in time and stopping themselves from saving Voyager. This was successful, and Daniel restored the timeline, but in order to do so, had to destroy the past-Phoenix-X. ("Phoenix Restoration")

In 2378, Captain Daniel would finally discover the X-Time bubble, where the Rogue X's attempt to create the X Continuum would be evident. Inside, many omni'X, like the Captain, sought to increase their power as much as possible in order to be worthy of joining the X Continuum. For a few seconds, Daniel was tempted. But Q arrived in order to take back all the Rogue X to the Q Continuum. The result was a no creation of the X Continuum: leaving all the omni'X, including the Captain, with whatever power they built on their own. ("Avalon Battlefield, Part II")

Q promised that he'd come back for Daniel due to Daniel retaining the last remaining lost Q omnipotent material once X (who was once a Q). Q did come back for Daniel, a month or so later, requesting the return of Daniel's powers. The Q Continuum created a large space anomaly meant to destroy Daniel if he did not hand back the powers. This anomaly, causing massive stress to Daniel, persuaded him to give the powers back before it was too late. Thus, the Captain was without any partial-omnipotent power whatsoever for a short while. ("Destiny's Revenge, Part III")

Later, Daniel took on the majority of Shane's Borg nanoprobes in order for him to not infect the Traveling Link, resulting in Daniel remaining in a liquid state. ("Destiny's Revenge, Part III")

In 2379, Klokian stole the large containment chamber of liquified Daniel with the intention of using him to power his timeship. Kayl pursued and retrieved him on the Angel Wing but, due to a temporal rift in the Narendra system, was thrown back in time to 2344 and crashed on Narendra III. ("Occurrence, Parts I & II")

In 2344, Kayl lived in an old house and maintained the containment chamber holding the Daniel liquid. While there, she and, later her daughter RaeLuna, were able to telepathically communicate with him.
In 2367, a similarly time-looped Night Seifer duplicate from 2375 accidentally arrived and was advised by Elena and Nelkast on how to revive Daniel. Now back, Daniel insisted he and Seifer oversee the Phoenix transwarp program to protect the timeline and the existence of the Phoenix-X.
Agreeing, the two took over as testing leads at Proxima Maintenance Yards for the next two years, near-destroying a full line of Phoenix-ships one after the other.
In 2368, Daniel and Seifer succeeded in perfecting transwarp with the USS Phoenix-W but instead stole it to return to Narendra III where the ship was unintentionally near-destroyed along the rift to allow Seifer's temporal return. Unfortunately, due to all the Phoenix-ship explosions throughout the last two years, Daniel's protoplam wasn't able to keep him in shape and forced him back into the containment chamber at Kayl's house. ("Secret Occurrences")

Resynced to 2379, when an older Kayl and Daniel were discovered by the crew of the Phoenix-X, RaeLuna was able to use her bio-electro pulse to help revive Daniel from the containment chamber though, with all the time he had to think, Daniel renamed himself to Cell. ("Occurrence, Part II")

In 2380, Cell was approached by a league of worrisome omni'X. These omni'X, led by Mishima, one who the Captain met in X-Time, feared for their lives as they were being hunted and slaughtered by the Klokian — a species somehow repellent to omnipotent beings. Mishima empowered the Captain with partial-omnipotent powers once again, turning the Captain back into an omni'X. Though reluctant, the Captain did indeed assist the other omni'X in fighting back the Klokian. This helped turn the tide of the Klokian/omni'X war, and the Captain was able to return to his duties aboard the Phoenix-X. ("Power Levels")

In 2382, Cell discovered Theseus on an undercover mission for Section 31 and they became enemies. ("Spider Agencies, Part II")

In 2383, Cell was met with Klokian. Klokian claimed he was on the run from the omni'X after the tides of their species' quarrel had turned. Fearing an unending cycle of violence, Captain Cell stood up against the omni'X and Mishima, saving Klokian's life. The omni'X were eventually forced to leave and pursue other Klokian elsewhere. ("Transphasic Meltdown")

In 2384, when the X Continuum was finally created, Cell was met with Q once more. Due to those current events, Q was on a mission to extract all power from any omni'X in the galaxy, which included Cell. After Cell's small power was taken, he was returned to normal. ("Forbidden Crossing, Part II")

In 2390, Cell had the Phoenix-X generate an inverse tachyon pulse just to see what would happen. When two future Phoenix-X vessels appeared, one from 2410 and one from 2450, Cell spoke to Oroku Seifer and was satisfied with the experiment. ("Nightmare Anomaly")

In 2391, Cell resigned from Starfleet after the secret of him being a changeling went full-public. He joined the Traveling Link in order to get away and simultaneously save them from a personality disorder caused by Diggs. ("The Needs of the Plenty")

Education & service record

Family

Anna was a mother figure and an enemy to Daniel. From the very beginning, she threatened the new ideas and ethics that Daniel came to have. In 1879, Daniel escaped her and his people to live in the Alpha Quadrant. The Female Changeling would make several attempts to suede Daniel over to the side of his people over the next few Centuries.

She contacted him at his home on Vulcan in 1983, forcing him to promise that he would protect alien worlds from the likes of Changeling kind.

He was approached by her again when he was in Starfleet as an Ensign. The Ensign was assisting in a war on Flortarious III when she emerged from a cave wall. After returning to safety, Daniel was unenergized by the Female Changeling's constant intrusions and decided against returning to his life in Starfleet. Fortunately, he quickly returned to his senses when Starfleet found him and persuade him to return.

In 2374, during the Dominion War, Daniel was approached yet again by the Female Changeling aboard the ship he was commanding: the Phoenix. Thanks to the war and his continual resistance, she explained that he was branded a traitor by the rest of the Founders and that there was nothing she could do for him anymore.

A year later, the Female Changeling made her way onto the Phoenix-X, where she explained that she had also been claimed a traitor by the Founders for her continual efforts with Daniel. By this time, the Captain's impression of her had descended into that of 'mortal enemy'.

Even after Q attempted to allow the Captian to re-live his life, Daniel was unable to change his feelings toward the Female Changeling. At this point, Daniel was approached by Wesley Crusher, who opened the Captain's eyes to the Female Changeling's mother-like intentions.

Q later arrived to extract the Female Changeling from the timeline, claiming that she was meant to die in the Captain's previous timeline and that having her remain alive in the Alpha Quadrant would eventually and somehow cause the fall of the Q Continuum. ("The Links' Traitor")

Friends

Night Gotens/Seifer

In 2234, Daniel gave up his rank and commission of Ensign after taking a dying Laumar Gotens to the Trill homeworld. He chose to stay on Trill for the next two years, as he had befriended the next host to the Gotens symbiont, Rikonen Gotens. ("The Links' Traitor")

Daniel met Rikonen Gotens again at a Federation Eelstock Convention on Flortarios III in 2302. Gotens, at the time, was back in Starfleet and ranked Lieutenant. Ever since meeting Gotens again, in 2374. ("The Tiloniam System")

In 2374, Daniel encountered Night Gotens and Ensign Dan on a shuttle from the USS Xena in the Tiloniam system. He beamed them aboard when Jem'Hadar attacked, and it wasn't long before the Phoenix was totaled and all personnel rescued by the Xena. Night Gotens transferred over to the Captain's command structure as executive officer, while Daniel was given command of the USS Phoenix-X at Deep Space 9 immediately after the incident. The two became close friends while serving together. ("The Tiloniam System", "The Links' Traitor")

Shane

In 2375, Daniel retrieved a container of Changeling protoplasm from a destroyed Klingon battlecruiser. The protoplasm turned out to be Shane, a Changeling, one of the hundreds that were sent out by the Founders, who was living with the Klingons aboard the IKS Hou-Ling.

Since the ship had been destroyed, Shane decided to live among the crew aboard the Phoenix-X. Here he became a prankster to most of the crew and a good enlisted officer at times of need. But on the most part, he became good friends with the Captain. ("Retrieval")

In 2376, the Phoenix-X encountered a Borg Cube with the Borg Queen on it. Shane admitted to giving her half his Changeling protoplasm years ago so that she would spare the Hou-Ling, during an attempt at assimilation. When the Borg Queen threatened the safety of the Phoenix-X, Shane willfully allowed himself to be taken by the Borg in order to let the Phoenix-X go. Yet, Daniel decided not to give up on Shane and devised a plan to save him from the Borg, in the process, threatening the lives of the crew.

They soon found that Shane had been assimilated with nanoprobes. Daniel decided the only way to diffuse the strength of the assimilation was to link with Shane and take on half the nanoprobes. This proved successful, as the diffused nano-probes broke Shane's link to the Collective. ("The Return of the Borg")

Months later, Shane witnessed the Captain's ascent into omnipotent status. He was also present when the X decided to take that power away to a certain percentage. Both Shane and Gotens were privy to the knowledge that the Captain would someday be forced to join the X Continuum. They both kept this a secret from Daniel, in fear of it actually tempting him. Unfortunately, Daniel found out on his own - and both Shane and Gotens were forced to go an extra step in convincing Daniel not to join. ("The X Continuum", "Vengeance", "Avalon Battlefield, Part II")

In 2378, Daniel was forced to let Shane go when Shane became responsible for bringing omni-status to a Borg Cube. Shane and the Traveling Link joined forces in an effort to stop the Borg Cube. This was the last Daniel ever saw of Shane. ("Destiny's Revenge, Part III")

Menchez

In the early 24th century, Daniel saved Captain Menchez from disgrace within the Klingon Empire. After becoming good friends, they agreed to a mutual exchange of officers between crews. This exchange program started in the early 2370s and continued to the Phoenix-X.

In 2375, the Captain met with Menchez again, where he assisted in stopping a war between the Federation and the Klingons. In late 2378, their exchange program with each other had come to an end. All Klingon and Starfleet crew were returned to their respective ships. But failing comforts by both the halves of each crew had suddenly led back the exchange program: and so the program was reinstated. ("Betrayal and Honour", "Destiny's Revenge, Part I")

Enemies

Gul Meloneus

The Captain's first encounter with the Cardassian, Meloneus, occurred in 2374. During a mutual run-in, Daniel attempted to take a prisoner of war by beaming over an officer, Agenos, from Meloneus' ship. Meloneus retaliated by beaming Cell onto his ship, the Tarak, and placed the Captain in a holding cell under an anti-shapeshifting device. Battle ensued and Meloneus' wife, Carella, on board the Tarak, was killed. The Phoenix-X crew saved the captain and Gul Meloneus and his ship were captured. ("Missed the Mishap", "Secret Shuttles, Part IV") Meloneus soon escaped the Phoenix-X during a battle with the Second Maquis and swore revenge against the Captain. ("Cookies")

In 2375, Meloneus was working with the Dominion in an attempt to kidnap the leaders of Flortarios III. It was an act of revenge against both Starfleet and Flortarios III, but he was easily thwarted by the Captain and the crew of the Phoenix-X. ("The Bajoran Trove") In the same year, on Stardate 52339.1, Meloneus teamed up with Romulan starship commander Plutark in exacting revenge against the Captain. They attempted to steal the schematics for an experimental slipstream torpedo, but their plans backfired when the Phoenix-X destroyed both of their ship's with one of the torpedoes. Meloneus was immediately beamed away to safety onto a cloaked timeship by his nephew Tellus. He then used the Timeship to go back in time to attempt to save his wife but was ultimately unsuccessful thanks to interference by the crew of the Phoenix-X. ("Secret Shuttles, Part II & III")

Meloneus was brought back to the year 2377, where the Timeship was lost to the Phoenix-X crew. He returned to Cardassian space aboard Tellus' ship, the Scorpion. Meloneus would return in the same year for one last attempt at revenge against the Captain and Changelings everywhere by joining the Fragma Alliance and upgrading his vessel. Meloneus asked for Shane as a prisoner but only received the Captain who had taken Shane's likeness. Daniel ultimately gave Meloneus what Meloneus really wanted: the location of the Changeling homeworld, after hearing of Meloneus' pathetic childhood encounter with Changelings. But such information proved useless as Meloneus was chased down by the Fragma Alliance, whom he cheated for technology. ("Secret Shuttles, Part IV", "BaKardi Slang")

Shadow Flare

The Captain first encountered Shadow Flare when trying to send him and his people back to the Mirror Universe in 2377. This proved unsuccessful, even as the Captain realized that Shadow Flare was bestowed omni'X power. Daniel eventually allowed Shadow Flare and his people to remain in the original Universe, as long as they stayed away from and stopped stealing from Federation worlds. ("The Nega'Jem, Part I")

The Captain would meet Shadow Flare again in late 2379 when RaeLuna came to Shadow Flare for help. In a simple questioning on the subject of RaeLuna, both the Captain and Shadow Flare erupted into a physical battle. Such a battle then impressed Shadow Flare, causing him to co-operate. ("Responsible Delinquent")
