The Torath class was a type of Klingon heavy warship that saw service during the 24th century. The class was first commissioned in 2364. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 3: Ships of the Klingon Empire)

The Torath was a variant of the Vor'cha class. Its central body and engineering hull were like the Vor'cha. Its pylon swept forward and downward, giving it a slight bird-of-prey appearance. Its bridge was located in an axehead-shaped module at the forward end of the main hull. It had fewer disruptors than the Vor'cha but had a heavier torpedo launcher complement. Most of these launchers were located in the rear wedge-shaped structure. However, if this structure was destroyed, it would significantly weaken its offensive power.
