Terra 6 was a Class M planet.

It was a Federation protectorate whose population was made up of Humans from the mid- to late-20th century United States of America, on Earth, transplanted by the Preservers. It was called "Kentuckiana" by its inhabitants.

In 2309, a Kzinti academic crashed his shuttle on Terra 6, necessitating that the USS Sagitarrius send a disguised landing party to rescue them. ("Wampus")

Nomenclature

The origin of the name of the protectorate was not revealed.

In the late 21st century, fifteen Space Ark colonization ships were sent out from Earth. (Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology, Federation Spaceflight Chronology, Vol. 5) One was named Terra Ten. (TAS: "The Terratin Incident") Terra 6 seems unrelated to these colonization efforts.
