While on a mission to explore the mysterious planet Harrakis V, the shuttlecoupe Ranger crashes, and the landing party finds itself stranded on the planet now beset by auroras. Meanwhile in orbit, Commander Kane Shepherd and the USS Deimos are ordered to the V’rad sector where old enemies are gathering. How long can Captain Harper and Science Officer Duffy survive being stranded?
