We should wait until it's closer to the actual months to start nominating articles for those months. It's not even December yet and you're planning for January, February? Who's to say a different, bedazzling article won't appear in the meantime? Then someone might be miffed that you didn't use their article after it was already nominated and voted upon. --Sasoriza 18:43, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is something I was actually meaning to bring up. AFAIK, on Memories Alpha and Beta, they don't nominate by month. Articles are nominated, and (if approved) placed in a queue. Of course, featured articles on Memory Alpha change every week, but still, I think that's better than nominating by month. There's other articles out (not my own, don't worry), that I want to nominate, but I wanted to get this straightened out before I did so. --TimPendragon 18:47, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I can see certain advantages in that, but I think it stems more from the fact that they have so many articles, and writing from a canon POV requires a certain level of excellence in attention to detail. We have nowhere near as many, and aren't quite as detailed (since canon isn't strictly our focus). When we have far more than present, then using a queue might be a better approach. I just think it should go (for us) by what makes sense at the time, until then. But, them's my two pfennigs. --Sasoriza 18:56, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I guess my point is that I think separating the nominations into months isn't good. If we find an article we want to nominate, we should be able to just do so. The nominations page should just be a simple list, IMHO. --TimPendragon 23:00, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- It was suppose to be a "simple" list (with the removal of the current and past nominated Featured Article since that would be redundant with Featured Articles) - which I guess should be listed as Featured Articles (past) Don't know who put the months up there but I will remove them. --Sneg 00:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Featured Template?
Do we have a "This is a Featured Article" template set up to go on the articles themselves, once they've been accepted? Tabatha Brisk and the previous couple at least need one. --TimPendragon 06:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- You know what - we don't. I guess I have a project to work on in the morning. :-) --Sneg 06:04, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
