The Delta Triangle was a disputed sector of the Beta Quadrant where starships had been known to disappear since ancient times. One of these was a early warp-driven vessel, SS Bonaventure. (TAS: "Time Trap"; Star Trek: The Lost Era novel: The Art of the Impossible)

History
22nd century
The Bonaventure-class explorer UNSS Arcturus was lost in the Delta Triangle in the mid-2130s. ("The USS Arcturus in History")
23rd century
In 2261, the colonial transport ship SS Hegira, en route to Mantilles, was lost in the Delta Triangle region. Aboard were the wife and three children of Nikolai Barstow. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station)
The USS Enterprise was assigned to survey the sector in 2269 and determine the reason for the disappearances. Some unrevealed aspects of the region accessed a pocket continuum known as Elysia. (TAS: "Time Trap")
- In the same year, the USS Ptolemy was presumed lost in the Delta Triangle while trying to avoid an ion storm. It is not known if this event precipitated the Enterprise's survey orders. (Star Trek: Generation Fleet)
24th century
In 2312, one of the USS Malverne's Powell-class long-range shuttles, Delaware, conveyed a team of archeologists and anthropologists to Shadowstar Station for a scientific expedition in the Delta Triangle. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Tempest")
Juraan, a Romulan smuggler, escaped execution in 2385 and ended up in the Delta Triangle, where he made contact with an alien race known as the Zentradi. An alliance was struck between them: their goal was to bring the downfall of the alliance in the Beta Quadrant. The Orion Syndicate, wary of Juraan, became involved when he produced weapons that could aid the Syndicate in piracy in the Cestus sector. (Star Trek Crusader)
